A lone girl driving on the roads of Delhi at 3:30 in the morning is never ever safe for the kind of people who hound the streets at night are scary. Some hooligan must have chased her down and on realizing that she was a journo.-who could potentially fire up things, he chose to kill her.

There can also be a chance that she must have spoken openly about some local-terror group which didn’t like her opinion and chose to kill her.

Whatever, the circumstance, it is sad to know this happened with a 24-year old girl with a bright future.

Girls have never been safe in Delhi. Sad but true that our capital city is the worst for a girl to be living. I have encountered eve teasing in the most famor Defense Colony market and a cousin was very badly shaken by an incident that occurred in M block market in broad daylight. In Mumbai we have the courage to give it back to the teaser, but in Delhi, no one dares to do so.

It is very sad such a bright young journalist has died in this manner. For any journalist there is always the possibility an item/article may displease some-one somewhere.

To speak boldly, honestly, in many countries take courage. I hope her family are well and weep for her passing then celebrate her being here in life even though it was such a short time. I wish the family well with love.
